Math-on-the-fly allows you to perform calculations within input boxes. For example, if you want to find the volume of a 36 foot by 24 foot by 8 foot high house, just type 36*24*8 in the input box; the dynamic programming will do the calculation for you. For math-on-the-fly calculations, you may use these mathematical operators:
- + (addition)
- - (subtraction)
- * (multiplication)
- / (division)
- ^ (raise to a power, exponent)
For another example, to find the floor area of a dwelling, enter this into the input box:
when you click or touch outside of the input box, your inputs will change to 1800. When you click or touch inside the input box again, the 1800 changes to (20*30)+(30*40) so that you can alter your entered values if you need to.
